LIVP Live Photo Opener
Open a .livp file, the way iCloud for Windows saves an iPhone Live Photo, to see the still picture and the short video inside and save each as its own file.
About this tool What it's for, how to use it and an example
What it's for
A LIVP file is how an iPhone Live Photo arrives when iCloud for Windows downloads it: a ZIP archive holding the still picture (usually HEIC) and the few seconds of video (MOV). This opens one and saves each part as its own file.
For example, when you’ve downloaded a Live Photo to a PC and want the picture and the clip as ordinary files, open the LIVP here and save the two parts.
How to use it
Choose a .livp file (or drop or paste one). The page lists what’s inside, with sizes, and a Save button for
each part. If your browser can show the still picture, it appears below the list, and the video plays below it.
Nothing is converted: you get the files exactly as they were in the archive.
Example
Choose a .livp file you’ve downloaded from iCloud. You’ll see two rows, such as:
Still picture IMG_0001.HEIC
Video IMG_0001.MOV
Save either with its Save button.
Good to know
Most browsers can’t display HEIC pictures (Safari can), so the still may not show even though the file is fine and saves normally; the message says so. This tool doesn’t convert HEIC to JPEG. It sorts the files by their extensions, and reads ordinary ZIP files only (no ZIP64 or password-protected ones). The file doesn’t leave your browser.
